Imperfection is a hypothetical exhibition catalog at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, CA. The book showcases wabi-sabi (the worldview about the acceptance of imperfection) in Japanese art. By selecting artists/designers who work with a range of mediums, I wanted the audience to have a better understanding of wabi-sabi, a concept in traditional Japanese aesthetics which were deeply rooted in Japanese philosophy.

Six artists/designers were selected: fashion designer Issey Miyake, installation artist Kishio Suga, photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto, furniture designer George Nakashima, Ikebana artist Toshiro Kawase and ceramic artist Ken Matsuzaki.
