Huang Ming is a bilingual book for Chinese artist and educator Huang Ming's oil paintings from 1990 to 2018. He is a professor at Nanjing University of the Arts. He is famous for representational still-life oil paintings that engage with traditional Chinese subject matters (such as old books, antiques and folk paintings) and straw mat—the symbol that has appeared in his work for 30 years. The book includes more than 100 color images, essays on Huang's concepts and artistic approaches, as well as a narrative of images giving viewers a better understanding of his daily life and art-making process.

I worked in close collaboration with the artist, and the book was developed under the guidance of award-winning graphic designer Tracey Shiffman, who specializes in publication design for museums and books on art and culture.
